MOGADISHU, SOMALIA - MAY 1: On the frontlines of Somalia's conflict, the fighters of the Ahlu Sunna Wal Jama'a, a pro-government moderate Islamist militia that has emerged to fight Al Shabab, a hardline Islamist group that the US has branded a terror organization. The Ahlu Sunna are Sufis and they have risen up after Al Shabab destroyed their mosques and killed many of their clerics. Last week, the Ahlu Sunna pushed into Al Shabab territory taking over Mogadishu's Hodan neighborhood. The fighters carry copies of the Holy Koran with them.
