The Ethiopian Electric Power Communication Office stated that the terrorist TPLF destroyed 1.6 billion birr worgh of power infrastructures in Amhara and Afar Regions.

Ethiopian Electric Power Communications Director, Moges Mekonnen, said in a statement, that TPLF’s invasion and atrocities in Amhara and Afar regions have caused severe damage to public resources and infrastructures.

He said most parts of the Amhara and Afar regions have regained electric access after restoration works undertaken by the government.

Efforts have been made to meet the demand for electricity by repairing the damaged and looted properties, he said, adding that it will cost 23 million US dollars to fully restore the damaged infrastructure, the Communication Director indicated.

The TPLF terrorist group also damaged 53.3 percent of the transmission lines in the area.
