Minister for women and development has said that the Covid-19 pandemic has affected women more than men. The minister Hanifa Mohamed Ibrahim was speaking the third meeting between members of the OIC (Organization of Islamic Council) held in Cairo, Egypt.

The minister has touched various topics including how the pandemic affected women more than men, the women participation of coming elections and the role women played the development of the country as a whole.

The Somali ambassador to Egypt was also present in the conference. The Egyptian president Al-Sisi has closed the meeting which was the eighth such conference.
